The Nairobi Work Programme (NWP) event on Knowledge and Foresight on Adaptation Finance, taking place during the UN Climate Week in Yeosu, Republic of Korea. The event will take place on 24th April, Friday from 14-18 KST as part of UN Climate Week (21–25 April 2026), a global platform that brings together governments, financial institutions, civil society, and other stakeholders to advance practical climate action and implementation.

As part of the NWP’s mandate to identify financial, technology transfer, and capacity-building resources and support, including through the curation of practical and relevant knowledge to inform adaptation action, the NWP undertook a forward-looking and inclusive process in 2025 bringing together diverse knowledge holders to explore practical options for adaptation finance. This event represents the next step in that process, moving from idea generation towards partnership-building and practical uptake. ​The event will convene diverse knowledge holders and adaptation finance actors to refine and prioritize practical finance options and to explore pathways to facilitate country-driven application.
