Our History

WFEO launched on 22 November 2019, at the Executive Council in Melbourne, a book on the 50 Year history of the Federation.

It included a foreword from the former Director General of UNESCO, Ms. Audrey Azoulay, as WFEO was founded under the auspices of UNESCO and continues to be an important non-governmental organisation in the science and technology sector.

The book traces the history of WFEO from its founding in 1968 and includes a time line of all important meetings and conferences and profiles of all past WFEO presidents.
